PLTW
PLTW, which stands for Project Lead The Way, is a national nonprofit organization that provides STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education curricula for students from pre-K through high school. The program focuses on hands-on, project-based learning to develop students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, preparing them for future college and career success in STEM-related fields.
EHS offers students access to the PLTW Engineering pathway, where students adopt a problem-solving mindset, are engaged in compelling, real-world challenges that help them become better collaborators and thinkers, and are prepared with skills to step into any career path they take.

Through project, problem based activities, students will:
- Explore the design process, solid modeling, design and development, and computer-aided drafting (CAD).
- Use team-focused opportunities to develop innovative designs involving real-world products.
Principles of Engineering (POE) grades 10-12
Prerequisite: Introduction to Engineering Design (IED)
Using a combination of teamwork and problem-solving skills in hands-on projects, students will:
- Apply physical principles, robotics and mechanical exploration.
- Experience major concepts in post-secondary courses of study in medicine, engineering, business, architecture, manufacturing, and science.
